Well I'm not from the area but I love sonic. Im not sure if she couldn't understand me or didn't care. I told the lady inside that I did NOT want the #1 combo but just the sandwich 3 times. Every order I made she was not friendly, didn't repeat what I said just asked "can I get you anything else" in a pissy response. And I'm not an ill mannered dude. I was polite but she was not at all. There's no excuse. Then the lady that brought it out to me was not friendly either. I rate one star due to very unhappy with this place. Every sonic I've been to have been super friendly but this placed sucked terribly.
I don't eat at Sonic as often as I'd like. When I do my food is always fresh. The new pretzel bun hotdog with cheese sauce, bacon and grilled onions is quite tasty. The last time I went to Sonic we were the last order of the night. We still got friendly, polute service, fresh tasty food. My tots were hot and crispy just the way I like them. I don't take advantage of the myriad of drink choices at Sonic; but I think that is something a lot of folks, especially kids and young adults will really like. I don't give any place 5 stars, because no one is perfect; but Sonic gets a solid 4 stars from me.
The wait people are wonderful! They are fast, friendly, accurate, and a real pleasure. The food? It varies. I had the bacon, cheddar pretzel dog which I have had before in another state. This was not as good. Instead of bacon bits, a slice of bacon, cheese lacked flavor. Bun not very pretzel tasting and dog not very hot. Frozen cherry cream slush: they no longer use whip cream on top and no mariachino cherry. Will try again to see if it gets better.
Best service we have ever had at Sonic in Owensboro!! Ordering was made easy, due to explanation of the item. Fast, friendly and fabulous!!!
This sonic pales in comparison to the one on Russelville Rd. in Bowling green (circa 2010, haven't been there in 7 years so that may have changed since I left college,) but it's not bad. My only real gripe here is that when I order onion rings, most of the time they come out overcooked or with really bad quality onions in them (think like, the outermost papery layer that you can't chew) and they taste like really old grease.
