Good quality food takes time, so a little waiting time is expected. Amazing service, very nice employees and hospitality is prominent in the atmosphere. Not to mention the amazing quality food!
2. The wait times can be pretty bad. My original review praised them for how fast and on-time we got our first to-go order. That's because it was the middle of the afternoon and they were practically dead. Any other time: good luck compadre.
However I'm docking three stars for three reasons:
Overall a decent place the people are friendly and give decent service. The food service leaves alot to be desired . I ordered a prime rib beef tip sandwhich , had a huge bun with little meat but a ton of mushrooms and onions. The sandwhich was supposed to come with au jus but did not. My wife ordered hot chocolate was too hot to drink (no big deal) had whip cream and hit fudge on top melting and makingva mess( was served in a coffee cup. Overall would not recommend this place.
UPDATE: They must have read the review. Portion size improved. Didn't walk away hungry this time. Only issue I had was the single pancake for my 4 yr old didn't arrive until we were done eating. Fortunately she was coloring and didn't notice. But I wanted to have breakfast WITH my daughter. But, small issue. Biscuit improved slightly.
3. This isn't a problem for me, which is odd because usually it's the other way around, but HH's food completely tears my wife's stomach up. We basically can't eat there anymore because her stomach gets so upset every time.
1. Even with online ordering, don't expect your food to be made accurately. Whether it's the wrong food (in a to-go order), forgetting things (when we ate there, so we got it corrected, at least) or in one instance, giving us things we didn't even order in our to-go order; accuracy is not this HH's strong point at all.
Alright updated review time: First, I'll say that despite only a 2 star review, I like Huddle House's food. I also like that it's not terribly expensive.
Restaurant was clean service was friendly. Food was good but the portion size was very small. The $10 smothered biscuit could've fit on a saucer. Central city location much better. Instead of cheddar cheese they used two slices of American cheese. Ordered biscuits and gravy he afterwords, the biscuits were so airey they disintegrated in the gravy. I was so happy to see that a huddle house finally made it to Owensboro now I'm very disappointed.
First impression was a great one. As soon as we walked in We are greeted, by the servers. Our waiters was quick to get us drinks, and keep them filled. Our food took 20 minutes even though pretty busy. The food looked great and tasted just as good. Place is very clean and crew is extremely friendly. Will be returning, and highly recommend.
